part of the construction of a new housing development on Barons Close in Kirby Muxloe, Bloor Homes are
funding traffic calming measures on Barns Close and Barons Close. The traffic calming measures will
help to redress some of the potential adverse effects of traffic arising from the development.The
ProposalsSpeed CushionsIt is proposed to install four sets of speed cushions on Barns Close and Barons Close. Three sets will be located along Barns Close and one set will be located on the entrance into Barons Close. The speed cushions will reduce vehicle speeds along Barons Close and Barns Close. Larger delivery vehicles will be able to straddle the cushions thereby reducing the occasional noise that this type of vehicle may generate when negotiating vertical traffic calming measures Kirby Muxloe, Barns Close & Barons Close proposals (pdf, 70kB)
