September 2006The formal consultation period has now ended, and all comments received are being considered. Further news on the development of this scheme will follow shortly. BackgroundAs part of David Wilson Homes planning consent to develop on the former Barlestone St. Giles Football Ground site, the developer is required to provide a pedestrian crossing on Barton Road, in close proximity to the Barlestone Church of England Primary School.The ProposalsTo install a zebra crossing on Barton Road next to the existing pedestrian access to Barlestone Church of England School.

What happens next?The success of these proposals is dependant on the support of the local community and comments received help elected members to decide how the scheme should progress. The final outcome of the consultations will be posted on the website.
