Service affected Road ClosuresShawell Road, Swinford Important update Passengers are advised that with effect from 18th August 2008 Shawell Road will be closed between points 100m either side of the M1 Motorway Bridge for approx 2 weeks to carry out bridge maintenance works. Leicestershire County Council regrets any inconvenience caused and normal service will resume as soon as the works have been completed.
Loughborough Town Centre Important update Buses are now operating as follows: Services 5,7,11,12, Airline Shuttle, Rainbow 5, Sprint, 99 and 127 will continue on diversion via Fennel Street up to and including Bank Holiday Monday 25th August. Service 4 to the Railway Station is using Swan Street. From Tuesday 26th August, all services will return to Swan Street. High Street stops C1 and C2 (Argos) will remain out of use due to the southbound closure of High Street. After Bank Holiday Monday, and for at least the next 2 weeks, the town centre stop for services 127, 5 and 11/12 will be stop D on Swan Street (Showboat).
Leicester City Centre Bus Stop Changes Important update From 1st September as part of the city centre improvement works, traffic in Haymarket and Belgrave Gate will flow towards the clock tower. As a result bus stops H1 to H9 are being removed. There will be new replacement stops B1 to B4 on the other side of the road, one, B5, on Church Gate and new stops A1 to A9 on St Peter’s Lane and Causeway Lane. Please see the map and table below for full details. These new bus stops enable bus users to reach the heart of the revitalised city centre. Use the bus and forget about looking for a parking space.
