Bus Service Information - Timetables, general information and web links ![]() ![]() IntroductionThis map and guide has been produced in partnership between Leicestershire County Council, Leicester City Council and the main bus operators in the county as part of the Bus Information Strategy (BIS). The BIS has been implemented to assist people in finding out information about bus services.
The map shows the main bus services in Leicestershire. These are all regular services with at least one bus operating every hour. You can get information on these bus services from a number of sources - but the main place to find out details is from the traveline service by phone, tel. 0871 200 22 33 (BT callers charged 10p per min plus 6p set-up fee per call. Mobile and other provider's charges vary), or on the internet at www.traveline.info
You can get timetables for your area from libraries, tourist information offices, local council offices and bus company travel shops. You will find large displays with maps and timetable listings at the main bus departure points in all of Leicestershire's County towns. The BIS partnership is also increasing the number of displays at bus stops and shelters over the coming months and will be publishing more local guides and maps (including Leicester City area).

Additional ServicesIn addition to these services, there may be other services operating less frequently in your area. Full details of all bus services operating in Leicestershire may be obtained from the traveline website or by telephoning 0871 200 22 33 (10p per minute landline, mobiles will be charged at opertors standard rate)
Facilities for those with special needs are offered by the Accessible, Community or Demand Responsive Transport initiatives. Further details on these services may be obtained by telephoning the helpline on 0116 3057 311.
Park and RideThere are three Park & Ride services, each providing fast direct links with the city centre.
Star trak![]() * These routes are equipped with star trak and star text. This means that bus stops and buses are provided with LED displays that count down the minutes to the departure of the next bus. It is also possible to receive a simple text message on your mobile phone which will give the 'actual' time of the next bus.
