Disabled Persons' Parking (Blue Badge Scheme)

Expiry & Renewal

There is no automatic renewal of a badge, all badge holders must re-apply for their badge before the old badge expires.
All other applications are treated as a new assessment.

Renewal Notifications

Currently we do not issue reminder notifications. Responsibility rests with the badge holder to re-apply in good time before their current badge expires.
If the application does not come under the automatic qualification criteria for issuing a blue badge (see, Who Can Apply for a Blue Badge) a part of the form will need to be completed by your GP. This should be done well in advance of the expiry date of the current badge.

Re-using Photos (Previous Badge Holders)

Photos can be reused, however, we would suggest you get a new photograph as you would be without your current badge while your application is being processed.
