The Safer Travel Design a Poster Competition 2009

Whilst visiting the County's primary schools in the run up to the 2009 summer holidays the Safer Travel team issued a challenge to Leicestershire's year 6 school pupils; 'Design Us A Poster!'

We're pleased to say that this challenge was met by a large number of pupils and as a result we had some excellent designs sent through, all on our favourite subject, safe and responsible travel onboard the school bus.

We're pleased to announce that the overall winner of our competition was Emily Booker, an ex-pupil of St. Peter's Primary School in Hinckley.  Emily has received a brand new art kit to help her in creating more fantastic artwork at her new school and has also earnt her old primary school a days free bus hire on a Leicestershire County Council Yellow Bus.  The three runners-up, Georgia Smith, Anna Richardson & Charlotte Clifford were also from St. Peter's, (not a fix, we promise!) and as they all produced colourful posters with catchy slogans it was difficult to pick a winner.
