School/College Transport - What's New?

Consultation on Proposed Changes to Transport

Leicestershire County Council is proposing a number of changes to home to school transport provision from September 2014. For more information see the consultation leaflet and to make your views known please visit the transport consultation survey
This consulation runs from 20th May - 30th June 2013

School/College Transport Application Forms 2013/2014

Please click here to visit the 2013/2014 school/college transport application form page. The application form will be available to complete online on the 25th April 2013. Please note that for the 2013/2014 academic year you will be required to set up an online account with Leicestershire County Council in order to apply for school/college transport. You will be able to create an account and submit your application(s) from the 25th of April.

School/College Transport Charges for 2013/2014

The transport charges for the 2013/2014 academic year will be:
  • £252 per annum for Post 16 students eligible to transport assistance.
  • £252 per annum for students eligible to transport assistance to a Voluntary Aided School.
  • £318 per annum for farepaying students attending a primary school.
  • £420 per annum for farepaying students attending a secondary school.
You can opt to pay the transport fee in one lump sum or in monthly instalments (up to a maximum of six) Please note we will not accept any applications where there is an outstanding transport payment for a previous academic year.
