eAuctions - Introduction
The Sustainable Travel Group (STG) has successfully been using electronic auctions (eAuctions) since December 2010 to procure Mainstream home to school bus services. Participation in the eAuctions is available to all eligible operators that have been approved onto the Large Vehicle Operator Framework (for 9 or more passenger seats).
In Autumn 2012, the STG ran an eAuction pilot to tender a number of taxi contracts. Participation in the eAuction was open to all eligible operators that had been approved onto the Small Vehicle Operator Framework (for 1 to 8 passenger seats).
