Disabled Persons' Parking (Blue Badge Scheme)

Expiry & Renewal

There is no automatic renewal of a badge, all badge holders must re-apply for their badge before the old badge expires.
All other applications are treated as a new assessment.

Renewal Notifications

Responsibility rests with the badge holder to re-apply in good time before their current badge expires. We will however write to you reminding you of the need to re-apply 6 weeks before your badge is due to expire. An application form and return envelope will be enclosed. This should allow sufficient time for us to process the badge and dispatch to you, however to ensure no complications we would ask that you complete the paperwork promptly

You submit the form and your photograph online, but will still need to send us by post the required proofs of identity and address (and proof of eligibility if appropriate). If sending in documents relating to an online application, please mark your envelope 'Online Application'. Apply online about 3 weeks before your current Blue Badge expires.

Re-using Photos (Previous Badge Holders)

Photos can be reused, however, we would suggest you get a new photograph as you would be without your current badge while your application is being processed.
