We extract a plan from the highway records showing the approximate extent of the highway accompanied with a letter in response. The plans are produced at a scale of either 1:1250 or 1:2500 and depending on the size of the area can be on anything from A4 to A0.

This is for enquiries such as clarifying the status of land adjacent to a property, information relating to section 38 Agreements, or information regarding traffic management and highway schemes.

We extract a plan from the highway records showing the approximate extent of the highway accompanied with a letter in response. The plans are produced at a scale of either 1:1250 or 1:2500 and depending on the size of the area can be on anything from A4 to A0.
We also provide responses for up to 7 questions for information such as clarifying the status of land adjacent to a property, information relating to section 38 Agreements, information regarding traffic management and highway schemes, public rights of way and highway building and improvement lines.

If you wish to clarify specific information that has been provided by the County Council as part of a local search enquiry, this can be done free of charge as long as you are able to provide either the County Council’s search reference or the district/borough council’s search reference and it is within six months of the search being carried out.
Note: We can not clarify the extent of highway as this falls outside the scope of a local search.

There is no charge for information that clarifies roadways that are shown on the County Council's Highway Status Search facility as ‘Part Publicly Maintained’ or 'Part S38 Agreement'. Please submit a plan highlighting the property and we will confirm whether or not it abuts the publicly maintained section of the roadway.

Prices will only exceed those shown above if the area required on a plan will not fit on A3@1:2500 or more than the maximum of seven questions have been asked within your enquiry. The extra fee if charged due to the plan size is calculated to cover the additional research involved to maintain our high standards of accuracy within a larger sized area.
