Leicestershire County Council’s Training Centre has been in existence for many years and has developed its teaching profile with in house and external commercial customers in mind.

Following its move to Market Harborough in 2003 we have developed our facilities and expanded our range of courses to meet the ever changing legislation and construction industry best practice.

We have been an accredited City and Guilds centre for 14 years and a member of the Highways Construction Training Association since 2000. This membership has allowed the centre to develop and offer certification under the Equipment Operators Registration Scheme (EORS) covering a wide range of construction plant and equipment.

The Leicestershire Highways Training Centre has gained approval by Lantra Awards as being an Asessment Centre for Sector Scheme 12D - Temporary Traffic Managment on Rural and Urban Roads.

In 2008 Leicestershire Highways Training Centre has been approved as a CSCS test centre (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) this will enable Health and Safety testing for all levels of operatives, supervisors, managers and senior managers.

In addition the centre, along with assessors and internal verifiers is now registered with the Construction Awards Alliance.

The training centre staff have gained a wealth of practical experience as well as deep understanding of legislation and civil engineering knowledge.

We have training rooms available for hire for county council use and other professional bodies.

Catering for lunch or breakfast meetings can be aranged with seating up to 30 people (lecture style) or 18 people (meeting style).

Each room includes: Tea/coffee making facilities, laptop, projector, screen, flip charts & tv/video/dvd
