Website StatisticsMonthly usage and availability figures for this website, and information on our
website usage survey.
Monthly Usage and AvailabilityAverage 'Visits' per day![]()
Visits
- Number of times a visitor came to the website based on log analysis.
If a visitor is idle longer than the idle-time limit, the figures assume the visit
was voluntarily terminated. If the visitor continues to browse the site after they reach the idle-time
limit, a new visit is counted. The default idle-time limit is thirty minutes.
Please note - As of January 2008 vists excludes where our images are referenced
on other websites.
Up Time Availability![]()
Up
Time Availability - Percentage of time that the website has been available to view on the Internet.
Leicestershire County Council aims to ensure that this website is available 97.5%
of the time.
The website is checked and the responses are recorded about 1,500 times a month.
Response time thresholds are pre-set and if it does not respond within set limits, the monitor records
this as "downtime". Any amount less than 100% indicates that the website had some downtime.
To find out more about our accessibility aims and objectives and how we are making
this site more accessible, visit the Accessibility pages.
We conduct an online survey of website usage. This is used to gauge our service,
collect demographic information and other information that we may find useful to help us improve the
service provided by the website.
Results of the survey from May to October 2008:
The
survey is offered to 1 in 5 browsers of the website. The survey method deposits
a cookie on visitors' computers. The cookie is used to count the total number of unique visitors who
are accessing the website over a particular period of time and to identify web visitors who have already
been offered the survey so that they are not prompted to participate a second time within any three
month period. These surveys are optional and we may share non-personal, aggregated
information
with third parties. For more information you may refer to the Leicestershire County Council
Privacy Statement. The survey is provided by SOCITM (Society of Information Technology Management)
and ROL.
