Roads and Transport

Social Care

Social Care emergency contact number outside of office hours - 0116 255 1606 (not office hours)

Your Council

Emergency Management - The Council's Emergency Management Section plans for all types of emergencies, enabling the Council to respond effectively and in a way that is fully integrated with the response procedures of the emergency services, other local authorities and other partner agencies, as part of the Local Resilience Forum.  The Emergency Management Section can be contacted on 0116 305 6101.

Community

Police - In an emergency - for example when life is in danger or a crime is being committed - dial 999.
In a non emergency, not requiring police attendance, there is one telephone number for the whole of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland - 0116 222 2222.
Gas Emergency - If you smell gas call free (24 hours) - 0800 111 999

Environment and Waste

Environment Agency - To report an incident of flooding  - use the Floodline number - 0845 988 1188
To report a pollution incident use the hotline number - 0800 807 060
