Grass Cutting Schedule

Towns and villages

The County Council cuts highway grass verges in towns and villages up to 12 times each year.  During the grass cutting season, generally March to October, but dependent on the weather, information on progress is shown on the website.

Grass verges between towns and villages

The County Council also cuts highway grass verges along the roads between towns and villages up to 3 times each year. The final cut covers the full width of the highway verge. The other cuts are around a metre wide along the edges of the road and for visibility at junctions only.
