Leicestershire County Council are currently redeveloping the Whetstone site.
Please note that due to the redevelopment work being carried out at Whetstone delays may be experienced and customers are advised to use an alternative site if possible, suggested sites to use are Barwell and Oadby. The construction of the new site is due to take approximately eight months.

8am - 6pm November to March
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day
Vehicles are allowed access to the site up to 5 minutes before closing time. Vehicles must be off-site by closing time.
From Leicester this site can be accessed from the A563 Soar Valley Way.  At the A563/B4114 junction turn onto B4114 Narborough Road South, at B582 roundabout turn left onto Enderby Road and follow signs for the public weighbridge.  Turn left onto the Enderby Road Industrial Estate and the site is at the end of the road.
When approached from the A426 turn right at the roundabout near Westleigh Business Park onto the A426 Blaby By-Pass, at the next roundabout turn right onto B582 Enderby Road, continue on the road and turn right into Enderby Road Industrial Estate.  The site is at the end of the road.

We also accept pre-sorted household waste that contains no materials that can be recycled.  If you are using any type of van or a trailer over 4'6" in length (from the front board to the back board) you will need to obtain a permit to tip.  Small amounts of construction and demolition waste are accepted, follow link for more information.  Asbestos may be disposed of at this site with a permit.  To obtain a permit please call 0116 305 0001.
