8am - 6pm November to March
Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day
Vehicles are allowed access to the site up to 5 minutes before closing time. Vehicles must be off-site by closing time.
The site is located on Knossington Road to the southeast of Somerby and can be accessed via the A606 snd B6047.  If using the B6047 follow signs for Twyford and Burrough on the Hill.  At Burrough on the Hill continue on Main Street, Somerby Road and Burrough Road.  At the end of Burrough Road turn left onto High Street and continue until junction with Somerby Road.  Turn right onto Town End and and follow road to the left onto Oakham Road, and first right onto Knossington Road.
From the A606 follow signs for Leesthorpe and Pickwell.  At Pickwell continue along Somerby Road and Town End (in Somerby), follow the road to the left onto Oakham Road and then the first right onto Knossington Road.

Aluminum and steel food and drink cans can be deposited in the scrap metal container for recycling.
We also accept pre-sorted household waste that contains no materials that can be recycled.  If you are using any type of van or a trailer over 4'6" in length (from the front board to the back board) you will need to obtain a permit to tip.  Small amounts of construction and demolition waste are accepted, follow link for more information
