Coalville Waste Site

Vehicles are allowed access to the site up to 5 minutes before closing time. Vehicles must be off-site by closing time.

Work has been completed to expand the recycling area making it easier for Leicestershire residents to send their household waste including WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) to be recycled or reused.  A new canopy has been installed to ensure recycling whatever the weather.   

New, easy to follow signage has been installed too for quick and easy identification of relevant containers and storage locations.  Road markings and linings have been refreshed along with new lines and markings to improve the flow of traffic and clearly display parking bays.

The improvements should make for a more pleasant experience and minimise time on site for residents whilst boosting recycling and diverting more rubbish from landfill.

The Coalville site can be approached from the east or west along the A511.

If approaching from the west head along Ashby Road towards Coalville.  Continue to a mini roundabout and turn left onto Linden Way and the site is on the right.

If approaching from the east head towards Coalville on the A511.  At a mini roundabout follow signs on Bardon Road for the town centre.  Continue straight on at a set of traffic lights.  Ashby Road begins after these lights.  At a roundabout turn right into Linden Way and the site is on the right.

Aluminium and steel food and drink cans can be placed into the scrap metal container for recycling.

We also accept pre-sorted household waste containing no recyclable material.  If you are using any type of van or a trailer over 4'6" in length (from the front board to the back board) you will need to obtain a permit to tip.  Construction and demolition waste is accepted in small amounts, follow link for more information.  Asbestos may be disposed of at this site with a permit.  To obtain a permit please call 0116 305 0001.
