Vehicles are allowed access to the site up to 5 minutes before closing time. Vehicles must be off-site by closing time.
If approaching from the south, from the A46/A6 junction follow the road northbound until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit signed Quorn, Mountsorrel. At the next roundabout go straight over (signposted "other vehicles"). The Recycling and Household Waste Site is situated 160 metres on the left side of the road.
If approaching from the north, from the A6/A6004 roundabout follow the A6 southbound until you get to a roundabout. Take the third exit signed Quorn, Mountsorrel. At the next roundabout go straight over (signposted "other vehicles"). The RHWS is situated 160 metres on the left side of the road.

Aluminum and steel food and drink cans can be deposited in the scrap metal container for recycling.
We also accept pre-sorted household waste that contains no materials that can be recycled. If you are using any type of van or a trailer over 4'6" in length (from front board to back board) you will need to obtain a permit to tip. Construction and demolition waste is accepted in small amounts, follow link for more information. Asbestos may be disposed of at this site with a permit. To obtain a permit please call 0116 305 0001.
- All Asbestos cement (sheets and broken pieces) should be double wrapped in clear plastic before being brought to site.
- Do not break or cut the asbestos cement to fit small bags, but double wrap it in clear plastic sheeting
- Damp down with water to prevent the release of asbestos cement fibres
- No other types of asbestos can be accepted on the sites
