Lount Waste Site (this site will be closed from 18th July until early 2012 for improvement works)
Nottingham Road (A453), Lount, Leics. LE65 1SD
Work to give a recycling centre an ultra-modern makeover is almost complete.
Lount Recycling and Household Waste site is due to open in March 2012 following a £1.5m revamp by Leicestershire County Council.
The new look modern facility will be over twice the size of the previous site and will offer ample parking space, clear signs, easy-to-access containers without steps and recycling for a range of materials.
The refurbishments are designed to boost recycling and cut the amount of rubbish sent to landfill.
We would like to thank residents for bearing with us during the work and look forward to seeing them use the new look site when it opens.
For information about the planned redevelopment of the site please follow link to page on Lount Improvements.
