Master Composters Wanted!
Interested in volunteering in your local community or passionate about composting?
Then why not volunteer as a Master Composter.
It doesn’t matter if you have never composted before or if you are a composting expert, as free comprehensive training will be given. As a Master Composter you will promote home composting to your local community.

Leicestershire County Council also operate the Rot-a-Lot Composting Club which has been set up to help Leicestershire residents achieve the best results from their compost bins. Food Waste Digesters

Green Cone
Green Cone  and the other food digesters accept all types of food waste, including fruit and vegetable scraps, raw and cooked meat or fish, bones, dairy products and other organic kitchen waste e.g. tea bags, bread etc. Items that do not normally go into a compost bin.

Organo County Compost

Windrow Composting
Leicestershire County Council operate two centralised composting facilities at Lount and Kibworth where the garden waste delivered to Leicestershire's Recycling & Household Waste Sites is made into Compost. To find out more visit our Organo County Compost page
