Wardens from across Leicestershire and Rutland have been engaged in many projects, all of which play an important role in safeguarding the local heritage of a particular area. Heritage Wardens have carried out wildlife or parish habitat and site surveys. Others have been involved in heritage projects such as the restoration of a 19th century village pump.
