Eco Schools

Litter

Litter makes schools look untidy and school grounds uncared for. It can also cause problems with the local community when litter blows out of the school confines.
In order to reduce the litter problem in your school arrange for weekly litter picks with children, litter monitors and add more litter bins in your school grounds. Banning chocolates, sweets and crisps at break time can also hugely reduce the amount of litter created.
Advice
Leicestershire District Councils can all help schools who would like to find out more about litter control. To find out what help is available in your area contact.
