Healthy Living
Health is a broad term relating to physical well-being but also to emotional well-being and social factors – our general happiness, confidence and outlook. Healthy children are more likely to achieve in both learning and life.
Schools can help pupils adopt healthy lifestyles by addressing a number of areas in school. For example, schools can encourage the uptake of nutritious schools lunches, teach pupils to grow and cook vegetables, encourage pupils to walk or cycle to school or develop an area of the school grounds for pupils to relax and reflect.
