Energy

The majority of energy produced in the UK to power our homes and buildings is made from burning fossil fuels – coal and gas to produce electricity and gas and oil. Fossil fuels release carbon dioxide when they are burnt so contribute to climate change.
Saving energy helps to reduce climate change and saves money on your bills.
To reduce reliance on fossil fuels, energy can be produced from renewable technologies. Find out more about renewable energy by borrowing a renewable energy education kit complete with KS2 and KS3 lesson plans.
