Wildlife on your Doorstep

Watermead Country Park North (King Lear's Car Park)

Bushcraft skills, bird box making and even paddling a coracle are among the attractions when the annual Wildlife on your Doorstep event hits Watermead Country Park in Spring. Keep an eye out for news of the next event. (Usually May/June to coincide with BBC's Springwatch)

  • Face Painting
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Paddle a Coracle
The aim of the event is to encourage people of all ages to take an interest in nature close to where they live.
The event is free to those on foot or bike, but there is a £1.50 charge for car parking at the Wanlip Road entrance, Syston.
