Ashby Woulds Heritage Trail

Location

Between Measham, Donisthorpe and Moira, North West Leicestershire

Description

The trail is 6km (3.7 miles) long and was formerly a railway line in The National Forest. There are stone-surfaced paths suitable for cyclists, pedestrians and horse riders.
There are links to Donisthorpe Woodland Park, Moira Furnace (for details email moira.furnace@nwleics.gov.uk) and Conkers (the main visitor centre for The National Forest).

Access

Wheelchair users will need assistance in some places.

Facilities

Parking: available at Measham, Donisthorpe Woodland Park, Conkers waterside and Sarah's Wood.
Note the Sarah's Wood car park entrance has a height restriction barrier of 2m. Anyone with a larger vehicle should use parking at Conkers Waterside.
