Membership

There are currently vacancies for members.
Potential members must be able to show that they can:
  • represent users of local rights of way and/or the open access land in Leicestershire created by the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000,
  • or represent owners and occupiers of access land or land crossed by local rights of way in Leicestershire,
  • or represent other related interests especially relevant to the County of Leicestershire.
    And:
  • represent a field of interest rather than particular organisations of which they might also be a member.
  • publicise the Forum's work and obtain feedback from others with similar interests, including from organisation(s) of which they are a member.
  • attend all meetings of the Forum.
  • serve on the Forum for a period of up to three years.
  • allow a photograph and brief biography to be made available to members of the public and other interested parties on publicity including the Forum website.

People wishing to apply for membership of the Forum should:

Leicestershire has a network of more than 3000 kms of definitive paths. There are also permissive paths, Country Parks and other opportunities to walk cycle and ride. All of this needs to be managed and promoted.
