Heritage Lottery Fund Landscape Partnership bid
The County Council is leading on the development of a Landscape Partnership funding bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund. At this stage the other partners are Natural England, Leicestershire Local Access Forum, National Forest Company, Bradgate Park Trust, Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust, Mineral Products Association and Charnia Research Group.
The Heritage Lottery Fund’s Landscape Partnerships programme - provides grants for schemes focused on areas of distinctive countryside and delivering a portfolio of projects which together provide long-term social, economic and environmental benefits.
Landscape Partnerships must deliver across three outcomes :
Heritage outcomes
- Better managed heritage
- Heritage in better condition
- Heritage better identified and recorded
Outcomes for individuals
- Learning about heritage
- Development of skills
- Contribution of volunteer time
Outcomes for communities/society
- Reduced environmental impacts
- More people and a wider range of people engaging with heritage
- Local areas/communities a better place to live, work or visit
Grant applications are assessed through a two round process. Round 1 is a competitive bid. The deadline for the submission of the Round 1 Charnwood Forest Landscape Partnership bid is 31st May 2013.·The outcome of this bid will be known in late October 2013.
