BioBlitz is a special type of field study, where a group of scientists and volunteers conduct an intensive 24-hour biological inventory, attempting to identify and record all species of living organisms found in a given area. This year Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council's Stepping Stones Project will be running a BioBlitz at Watermead Country Park. The event will run from 8pm on Sunday 30th May until Monday 31st at 5pm. The Bioblitz will be an exciting and lively complement to the Wildlife on your Doorstep event. Keep checking this site and Leicester City Council's site for further details!
