Hinckley & Bosworth Area
Hinckley has excellent cycling facilities including connections with nearby Earl Shilton, Barwell and Burbage as well as routes around the town centre and railway station. The area is home to one of the country’s most important historical sites ‘Bosworth Battlefield’ and its award winning Heritage Centre. The site includes some fantastic walking and cycling routes.
The leaflet includes two maps showing cycle routes:
- Hinckley Urban - covering in detail Hinckley town and Burbage
- Hinckley Rural - covering in overview.the Borough of Hinckley and Bosworth and the south western part of Blaby District.
The urban map shows local signed routes, traffic calmed areas, and key local facilities. Both the urban and rural maps maps highlight recommended routes, local sections of the National Cycle Network, leisure routes and main tourist attractions.
The leaflets also include details of local bike shops, a guide to signs for cyclists and good cycling tips.
