Fishing in our Country Parks
The following Country Parks have facilities for fishing during the Open Season (July 1st to March 31st).
Watermead Country Park (North)
All lakes hold Carp, Roach, Bream, Tench, Perch and Pike. John Merrick’s and King Lear's also hold Zander.
- John Merrick's Lake (available to Season Ticket holders only)
- Lily Pond and King Lear's Lake (available to Day and Season Ticket holders)
- River Soar - both banks from the weir at Johnson's Bridge to the King Lear's Bridge
Snibston Grange Fishery
Both lakes hold Roach, Perch, Tench, Barbel, Bream, Chub and Carp.
- Snibston Nature Reserve has two waters - Carp Lake and Match Lake

Market Bosworth Country Park
The Bow Pool holds Perch, Roach, Tench and Crucian Carp.
Fishing Season Tickets
Fishing Season Tickets give the holder access to fisheries not open to non-season ticket holders, as well as the ability to fish at night. For more information and to apply download the Fishing Season Ticket Application Form or call 0116 305 5000.
Day Tickets for use at Watermead are available from the fishing ticket machines or from rangers on site.

Car Park Access Card
An optional Car Park Access Card is available for private motor vehicles for Watermead & Market Bosworth, and an out of hours key is available for Snibston. These are valid from July 1st to March 31st at a charge of £20 (£10 of which is a refundable deposit).
Show off your CATCH!
Please email us photos of any noteworthy fish you have caught, together with details of where, when and what bait you used. We would love to use them on our Facebook pages, notice boards and good news items. The photo does not need to include the angler, but something that shows the size of fish in comparison is helpful (e.g. rod handle and reel). If the angler is under 18, a young persons consent form will need to be completed.
