Introduction to Emergency Management

AIM :

To provide staff with the opportunity to be made aware of the key issues in planning for, and dealing with, emergencies.

OBJECTIVES : A picture of the front page of the course's pack showing various scenes of Emergencies

To enable participants to identify the main functions carried out by local authorities in an emergency.
To explain the planning structure and response arrangements of the Local Resilience Forum.
To examine the roles of the various agencies involved in an emergency.
To provide an overview of the Civil Contingencies Act 2004
