Supply Teaching

Leicestershire LA, in partnership with recruitment specialists Reed operate the Leicestershire Supply Service. This service offers a bespoke and innovative way of meeting our schools' supply needs.

The Leicestershire Supply Service provides a one-stop shop offering schools and supply teachers a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week consultancy service. All supply teachers have access to a dedicated consultant.

Benefits to the teacher include:

Teachers paid in accordance with the School Teachers Pay and Conditions document, with full access to the Teachers' Pension Scheme;
Developed in consultation with Leicestershire Head Teacher representatives;
A single point of contact for all supply teachers and school supply co-ordinators;
Assistance with longer term and permanent job placements;
Payment on the upper pay spine where threshold standards are met;
An ongoing programme of bespoke quality professional development;
Continuity of service with Leicestershire County Council

Leicestershire Supply Service – A New Partnership

The Leicestershire Educational Supply Service was established on 27th October 2003. Following a re-tender process, the service was re-branded as the Leicestershire Supply Service through a new partnership arrangement with Reed Learning, which commenced on 1st September 2007.
