The team provides:
- Advice to schools, colleges, Short Stay School and development groups on SEN issues
- CPD to primary, secondary and special schools
- Support for SENCOs new in post
- Support from the LA's Lead SENCOs
- Area SENCONET meeting
- Written guidance and materials on SEN issues including LA's Wave Three Literacy and Mathematics resources
- Support for school self-evaluation
- Dissemination of good practice
- Initiating and leading collaboratives of schools on targeted interventions
- Support for schools identified by SIP/Ofsted as needing additional advice
