Maths Medium and Short-term Plans
Maths medium term plans for teaching from the Primary Framework for the whole year are available here. Short term plans are available here.

Maths Planning from the Primary Framework.
This package contains the PowerPoint and all the resources and handouts used in the Planning from the Framework training for Maths Subject Leaders (June/July 2007).  This can be used to support your own in-school training as part of a staff meeting or inset day.  Open the PowerPoint first, the notes pages on each slide outline key points for you to draw out, and indicate when the other handouts in the folder should be referred to.

Interactive Planning Tool - The Interactive Planning Tool is now available to download from the Primary Framework, giving you a way to record your planning electronically. Go to www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/primaryframeworks/planningtool and follow the Getting Started instructions.
Once installed and running, you may well see a ‘Problem loading page’ error. We felt the Framework instructions on how to resolve this could be clearer, so have rewritten them; Connecting the Interactive Planning Tool to the internet.doc’ gives full clear, step-by-step guidance to help you get the tool functioning fully.

Interactive Whiteboard Files on the Primary Framework - The Library section of the Primary Framework contains all the ICT resources in one place, with whiteboard files as well as ITPs and Excels. To access it, go to the Primary Framework home page, click on Library then Mathematics or Literacy (on the left-hand menu NOT next to library) and ICT Resources. When you select Interactive Whiteboard Files you will see there are now a wide range of formats for whiteboard resources including Smart Notebook (XBK and NBK), PowerPoint (PPT), EasyTeach (ET) and Promethean ActivPrimary (FLP).
If you use PX or ActivPX will not be able to open FLP files, but a FREE downloadable ‘Flipchart Viewer’ will enable you open them and use some of the whiteboard tools:

If you use Smart Notebook, making sure you are using version 9.7 will give you access to a wider range of resources and more comprehensive tools. Click on the link:

Primary Framework Presentation - This is a summary presentation of the subject leader briefing that has recently taken place. It can be used to support subject leaders delivering the introductory session from the Subject Leader DVD. The slides are split into three sections: an introduction and main changes; changes to literacy; changes to mathematics. There are also additional slides of screen shots of the framework which can be slotted into any presentation.

Early Reading Presentation - This is a summary presentation of the briefing that was delivererd to subject leaders in November. There are numerous resources on the Primary Framework website or DVD which need to be used in conjunction with this presentation.
