Strategy for Special Educational Needs

OFSTED define a strategy as ““An inclusion strategy should, therefore, be a definition of a repertoire of interventions aligned to an audit of need, and framed in the light of a statement of principle. It should also set out the steps needed to arrive at the repertoire, and the likely consequences, including costs. This is likely to be controversial… the strategy must resolve or mediate between certain obvious tensions.” (LEA Strategy for the Inclusion of Pupils with SEN, Section 23, July 2002, OFSTED)
You can find our strategy paper approved by cabinet in January 2004 here.
