Insurer’s surveyors often ask for a system of Hot Work Permits to be in place at premises so that simple precautions are taken by any contractor on your site who is using a heat process. The permit is self explanatory and requires the contractor to confirm that he has a safe system of working. It also enables those responsible for the site to monitor any extra risky process being undertaken. It is not only best practice to use this system – it is safe practice!
