Post-16 School Access Fund
The Post-16 School Access Fund is a sum of money allocated by the Learning and Skills Council and administered by the Leicestershire County Council Student Finance Service to enable eligible students who live in Leicestershire to stay on post 16 years of age.
We may be able to help you with a wide range of costs. Here are some examples-;
- Child Care
- Some travel expenses
- Books for your course
- Equipment for your course
- Accommodation and living costs
- Examination fees
- Additional course costs
- Costs of attending open days and for higher education interviews.
- Special clothing
- School dinner money
- Costs of field trips.
To be eligible for financial assistance from the School Access Fund you must:
(a) be an enrolled student as defined by the school.
and
(b) have been 'ordinarily resident' in the British Isles or European Union for a purpose other than education for the last three years.
