Youth Service

The Leicestershire Youth Service is managed centrally and delivered locally by trained youth workers based across the county.
The service provides a range of opportunities that benefit young people in Leicestershire:
  • Close working with partners to ensure early intervention
  • Targeted support for the most disadvantaged young people
  • Access to a flexible, motivated team of youth workers
  • A service response to local need
  • Support for young people as they develop into young adults
  • The chance for young people to have an active voice
  • A range of personal and social development opportunities that are fun, creative and challenging
  • Additional youth work commissioned from the voluntary sector

The Leicestershire Youth Service works closely with a range of key partners including young people, the voluntary sector, schools and community colleges, the Connexions Service, District and Parish Councils.
