Beaumanor Park Outdoor Learning Centre
Beaumanor Park Outdoor Learning Centre has five cabins, all of which have central heating and most have double glazing. Each of the cabins contain 18/20 beds with separate facilities for group leaders. Two of the cabins can be joined together giving accommodation for 40 people. The sleeping accommodation is in dormitory style and there is a common room and kitchen in each of them. One of the cabins has been equipped to enable people with disabilities to stay on site.
The Beaumanor site is available for hire by schools and groups who wish to use their own camping equipment. The camping area can accommodate 200 visitors. Facilities include toilet block, showers and drinking water points. There is a sports field and adventure playground on site, with sports hall and base-rooms available for hire.
During the summer we have a Standing Camp using Jovi tents which can be booked by groups with or without previous camping experience. The site is located in a safe and secure environment especially suitable for groups experiencing camping for the first time. Each tent has a central space and 3 separate bedrooms, accommodating up to 9 people. The Standing Camp is available for up to 40 people and includes a frame marquee, a kitchen marquee, plus a room which contains a fridge and a freezer.
Beaumanor provides two kinds of catering. Each cabin has a kitchen, equipped for groups wishing to operate on a self-catering basis. Alternatively during the week only, all meals can be provided by our catering staff, with the evening meal taken in the impressive Victorian dining room in the main Hall.

Beaumanor Hall and Park aims to deliver programmes which meet the needs of each and every individual and group. We support schools in their delivery of the National Curriculum and assist all groups with their programmes of personal and social development. Our courses allow young people to learn through experience, to discover more about themselves, their peers and the adults who work with them. Activities available include:
Archery, Abseiling, Adventures, Astronomy and Rocketry, Camping and Campcraft, Climbing and Abseiling, Fit for Life, Open Canoeing, Fitness, Orienteering, PE and Sporting Challenges, Raft Building, Team Challenge, Expedition Training, Survival, Sailing and Water Safety.
Team building takes place in and around Beaumanor Hall and Park utilising the grounds and residential cabins. Programmes are specifically designed to meet your requirements.
We have a number of small and large tasks built around communication, building effective teams, developing trust, decision making, situation leadership and performance appraisal. We can also operate corporate events such as archery, abseiling, rock climbing, kayaking and canoeing.
Beaumanor Hall and Park maintains a fleet of minibuses. All vehicles are fitted with forward facing seats, equipped with seat belts. All drivers have passed a minibus competence test. The safety of children and young people is as important to Leicestershire County Council as it is to parents, school staff, and governors.
