Key Stage 2 (KS2) Music and Wider OpportunitiesAllocation of funds from Standards Funds for Music 2009.10
For all county and city primary and special schools with KS2, County 10 + high schools information about support for KS2 Music and Wider Opportunities pledge is now available. Please see related documents below. Schools can implement their own Wider Opportunities project or work in partnership with Leicester-shire Arts in Education. Return one of the forms below as soon as possible or by 21st April at the latest to access funding and/or projects.

The Wider Opportunities Programme for Instrumental and Vocal Learning has been running for over two years for pupils at Key Stage 2. In November 2008 visits were carried out in a sample of 31 schools in Leicester and Leicestershire. The report and a summary gives an evaluation of the programme in schools along with case studies of effective practice.
