Early Years Teacher Status and Early Years Professional Status
In Leicestershire there are over 100 Early Years Professionals leading practice in a variety of early years settings including full day care, sessional pre-schools and childminders.
From September 2013 this status is to be replaced with the Early Years Teacher Status and Leicestershire County Council is committed to supporting settings and individuals in gaining Early Years Teacher Status.
If you already hold a full and relevant level 3 qualification and would like to find out more about becoming an EYT and the funding available, please contact the Workforce Development Team on 011 6305 6555 and view the routes to gaining EYT below.
