Mobile Community Centre
The Mobile Community Centre (MCC) is a purpose-built, multi-function vehicle designed to offer a range of mobile services to communities where access to static services proves difficult. The vehicle brings together key services from Education, Health, Social Services and adult training providers, in order to facilitate easier access to key services and training for communities in remote locations.
|
The primary function of the vehicle is to support the development of permanent early years and childcare services in those areas that have an identified shortage of provision. The vehicle can be used as a base to deliver a wide range of training opportunities and information to communities.
The MCC is also available for hire from other services and has currently been used by Highways, Family Information Service and Teenage Parents.
Onboard the MCC we have facilities such as:
- Internet ready computers
- DVD and TV
- Children's toys and play area
- Display areas
- Disabled access
If you would like to see the facilities for yourself take the MCC tour.
