The plan is intended to guide and stimulate land reclamation in Leicestershire and set the context for practical reclamation work by the County Council, district councils and others. The Strategy provides information on the quantity, nature and distribution of derelict land in the County and includes policies for reclamation, sites after use and the protection of recreational, wildlife, geological or archaeological value. The Action Programme is a more detailed development of proposals for specific sites where reclamation is a priority.
