Community Safety
The Community Safety team provides a focus for the delivery of community safety activity and plays a co-ordinating role within the County Council and across Leicestershire in crime & disorder partnership working.
The role of the team includes:
- Providing training and support to ensure all County Council services are working to make Leicestershire a safe place to live, work and visit.
- Working with each of the 7 District/Borough Community Safety Partnerships to reduce crime and disorder locally across the County.
- Working with organisations including; the police, fire service, probation, health service and voluntary bodies, to develop and deliver projects for safer communities.
- Co-ordinating specific areas of Community Safety work across the County, including Domestic Violence Reduction and Hate Incident monitoring.
