Community Safety and Youth Justice
Leicestershire County Council is committed to working with its partners to reduce crime and disorder in Leicestershire and make the county a safer place to live in, work in and visit.
The Council’s actions and contributions towards a Safer Leicestershire are outlined in its Community Safety Plan. These activities are co-ordinated by the Youth Justice & Safer Communities Section, which brings together three services which have a key role to play in seeking a safer county:
- Community Safety Team (Including Domestic Violence and Hate Incident Monitoring)
- Substance Misuse Strategic Team (SMST)
- Youth Offending Service (YOS)
