Please Note : from 1st January 2012 the Record Office will no longer be open on Friday.  All other opening times remain the same.

We have recently introduced a new photocopying policy here at the Record Office. In the past we have photocopied items because we had no other means of making a copy. All handling and copying causes some damage to records; however, some methods are worse than others. Photocopying is one of the most damaging ways to make copies: the physical handling of the item, the heat and strong light are all harmful.

We hope you will support our new policy and join us in preserving the historic records for future generations.

The Record Office is once again providing a range of lunchtime talks in the New Year.  These are always very popular, so please book your place now!

12 noon -1pm. Cost £3.50 (unless otherwise stated) or (£3.00 for Friends of the Record Office). Pre-booking essential - tea and coffee provided.

27^th March Getting the Best Out Of Your Digital Camera – photographing and scanning old documents *Cost: £5 and time 12 noon - 2pm
