Possible restriction to some records

Due to a problem with some of the stacks in our strongroom some records may be inaccessible. Please telephone before your visit if you know what documents you would like to see, so that we can make sure they will be available. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Cameras in the Searchroom

As from 12 October 2009 visitors are now able to bring their own cameras into the Searchroom. There is a fee : £5 for a day permit or £20 for a weekly permit. Terms and conditions apply. For further details please email : recordoffice@leics.gov.uk

The Record Office does not provide birth, marriage or death certificates. To obtain these you will need to contact:
