What's on Offer?![]() Sheepy Magna WorkshopsThis group of workshops dates in part from the 1740s and shows perfectly the skill and versatility of craft woodworkers who could have been found in most towns and villages until fifty or so years ago.
These people could convert raw timber into everything from a cart-wheel to a chair or even a coffin!
The workshops were rescued from demolition in 1992 and moved brick by brick to Snibston from Sheepy Magna on the western border of Leicestershire.
The buildings contain a sawmill for processing tree trunks into timber, a joinery for making and assembling smaller woodwork, a blacksmithy for horse shoes and making iron fittings and a paint shop for decorating carts and wagons.
