Beauty and the Beast-A Puppet Play

5th May at 2pm

£2 for adult/child

Come along to Century Theatre for Bill Brookman's Beauty and the Beast. There will be daft songs, sillly bits, flippin' great jokes and loads of joining in!

Pamper Day

We are holding a Pamper Day at Snibston Discovery Park!

This is a FREE event! It will be a day of relaxation and indulgence, and a chance to escape from the football!
(Normal admission to museum applies, except fashion gallery)
We will have italian handbags, herbal healing, handmade cards, designer clothes, chocolate fountain, Body Shop, massage and much more!!
Enjoy a cream tea, danish pastrie, or even treat yourself yourself to a Pimms!Cream Tea
There will be a raffle with proceeds going to Rainbows childrens hospice.
There will also be  'PS I Love You' showing in the Century Cinema for just £2.50. Book a place on the day.
Unfortunately, there is no longer a creche available. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

9pm-10pm: Guided Walk

Charges: Adults-£3. Concessions: £2.
Slide show and informative talk all about bats followed by a walk in the woods and The Grange nature Reserve in search of Snibston bats!

Mining Lives and Wives Fun DayCornflakes

Do you remember the mining days? What was it like to be a miners wife?
We'll have talks on 'A Womens Work is Never Done' and  Soap Making and Understanding Labels, displays, mining lives role play and dressing up, and a vintage food advertising poster competition. We'd also like your help in designing a mining lives recipe book so please come along and share recipes and memories. There will plenty of taster refreshments too and a free colliery tour at 2pm but places are limited so book on at the admissions desk on the day.
